Re: Lake Samish Open Team Tournament, May 21
Swayner23, thanks for asking. It's difficult to arrange seats for non-members. I'd recommend coming to club meetings and meeting members to try and find a partner. Re: Lake Samish Open Team Tournament, May 21
Good question. Payout is 80% to top three teams. Of the payout money, 45% goes to 1st, 35% to second and 20% to 3rd. Big fish is built into the entry fee ($10 per team). So 20 teams = $200 big fish.

Re: Sea Eagle 285fpb
I had the 375fc and I loved it. Caught tons of bass out of it. It is also rugged, so you can beach it and not worry about ramming things with it. I highly recommend the 375. You can stand up on it and it's very stable. Having the extra space is great for rods and tackle. I bought mine with motor and...

Re: Getting a new boat
I tow a 17.5-foot aluminum bass boat with my 2wd 4cyl Chevy Colorado. I've towed it over the pass multiple times with no problems. My towing capacity is something like 3,300 lbs. I've towed an 18.5 foot fiberglass boat at about 3,100 pounds and the Colorado pulls it fine. I wouldn't take the glass b...

Skagit County bass fishing story
I got the chance to write a bass fishing story for the Skagit Valley Herald Sports & Outdoors section. It's about a local angler, Tyler Wasilewski, who competed at the FLW college championship at Lake Murray a couple weeks ago. They represented Eastern Washington University. Check it out! http://ska...

Cheap gear for Whatcom County residents
I went out to Mayberry's in Bellingham today for the first time in a few months and saw that they are having a going-out-of-business sale. They have a bunch of nice Shimano spinning reels and a few decent bass rods left. Everything is 50-60% off. I already got what I needed so figured I'd share the ...
