RE:4 wheel drive vs all wheel drive for retrieving????
Are you saying you use 4WD every time you pull your boat out no matter what? Ive never put my truck or seen anyone else use 4WD to pull a boat out of the water under regular weather conditions. Daniel I disagree a bit. it can depend heavily on your ramp angles, ramp material (paved vs. gravel) boat...

There is a site where you can upload high-def logos and have them made into merchandise to advertise. Cafepress.com.

I'm down for a walleye area, but I can see how it could just be put into the freshwater area.

Ever try Permethrin? It's a clothing treatment that is either pre-applied to clothing in the BUZZ OFF brand of stuff (expensive) or it is available in a spray/wash to add to your own clothing. It lasts for 6 weeks or 6 washings, and since it's on your clothes your hands won't smell. http://www.rei....

To follow up, I caught two smallies (3lbs~) while trolling for wallies using bottom bouncers on Banks a couple weeks ago. I think it goes to show you that you can "try" to fish for a specific species, but you never know what youre going to haul in.
ps - CNR'd both smallies

RE:BASSACKWARDS - VOTED "MOST CREATIVE HANDLE"
ok. I'll take a shot for ya fools :) so in about..1990 I started using BBS's in the Tacoma area. I was .. 14 or so. I started with the nickname "The Cowboy" (way to be original!). I didnt realize people used handles, and I felt put on the spot. A friend of mine found out, and the nickname stuck unti...

I have had great success with Avon's Skin-So-Soft bath oil. Get out of the shower, rub down -lightly- with it, and viola! no more bugs! I use it a lot. Over time, you can figure out a good dilution that doesnt smell much. I got the tip for it from my brother when he got out of the Marines, he said t...

FishFinder replacement
I have (errr.... had....) a Lowrance x52 fishfinder on my boat. After the first trip of the season i handed it to the second mate and she might have managed to drop it on the sidewalk, shattering the plastic casing. The unit lights up but the display is dead. It was a sad sad day until she said 'wel...

RE:NOAA for weather and wind
I havent used NOAA before, though I know what it is.. Very interesting. What is mm5? I typically stick with Weatherbug - but for general weather conditions. The reason being that weatherbug controls the 'schoolnet' weather systems and has about twice as many private monitoring stations in the US as ...

RE:Trout in Tapps?
I cant find a reference for Tapps being stocked in the WDFW reports, and probably because it is drained yearly and there migh be some issues with the predatory fish in the lake.
Side note: is the lake full yet?

RE:24 volt system
TCB, the VSR actually interupts the power going from the cranking battery to the 24 volt bank, so I think if the unit fails, then the only thing that will happen is the batteries won't recieve a charge in the 24 volt bank. Again, I hope #-o Ah, I must have misread the implementation. Good luck! :) ...
