IMO you are pretty much making yourself look really BAD here.. hangin out with those 15 and participating.. no way you caught 20 in the mouth.. and those kings in there are all DARK RED and GREEN and just waiting to spawn out.. I saw them all on Saturday.. i know... its disgusting what some people do just to feel a "tug"
the moral in many fishers these days is astonishing..

I was thinking the same thing but decided not to say anything. I have a really hardtime when I go to the Wallace getting anything to bite.

reality though, idc, wallace is my favorite place to fish, and the legal area is gill forward, so if im looking to stock on salmon meat, im good to go, if i wanna actually drift fish, i hit up the sky, snoho, skok, etc. granted, im not gonna fish it untill we get some rain, cause its pointless, i only fished it cause i was there anyway, im not gonna waste money in gas and time to drive there and not hook into some fish.

as long as you can get in it their mouth i dont see why it matters, either way , im out on the river, having fun, enjoying myself, playing fish, hopefully keepable, just fishin, and soon ill actually have caught some hens to cure eggs to float for em. amazing how big of a tizzy people get in about flossing, fish the way you wanna fish, do your thing.

unless you cant speak english, using a 10 dollar rod and reel, with 100 lb braid, throwing trebbles, or just plain ripping your pole to the side, THEN you can complain. if its just a matter of a chill person feeling line in a fish mouth setting hook, and its legal, who CARES. :}

Yesterday when I was there I saw 3 steelhead taken and a handful of coho so there are keepers to be had.... Just have to find a spot deep enough to get them..... I was fishing faster water looking for the hiding fish but in the end, all that was on my line was old kings..... I did foul hook a few but using a bead under a float with #4 hook, 90% were in the mouth

all in all though, it is a greater feeling to get them to actually bite. like my first steelies i caught this year, swallowed the corkie, i felt pretty proud of myself, guess i need to start getting em to bite more, its just hard unless you float in the wallace.

If you go down to the mouth when the coho are really in, chartreuse yarn works great but your also fishing a much deeper hole and not sight fishing them. It's too bad they didn't open it for the kings... They are not taking no more eggs this season and there is a surplus of fish through the system... All the "reds" areas will be trampled on by all the coho fishermen in a few weeks anyways.....

so many dumb hatchery kings spawning north of the wallace in the sky and low in the wallace. maybe "wild" kings will be open in like 4 years.
