Cowlits smelt

Never done this fishery before and picked up a smelt net to go Saturday. Looking over Google earth trying to figure out where I should go for the opener. Seems like a lot of fun and being over a two hour drive I want to make this trip worth while. Any suggestions on where to go. Should I stay lower in the system near kelso Lexington area or do you think there will be good numbers up around castle rock. Feel free to send a pm if you'd like. Thanks for any info and good luck
