LW Cutt Fishing This Saturday
I'll be heading out this Saturday to target cutthroat trout by Kirkland, WA. I'll launch there and fish from 8am - 1pm. If interested in joining me, post here or PM me. I have a spot on my boat. The fishing has picked up somewhat, but it is still relatively slow, overall...but I hooked an 18"er today!

I'm hoping to get my boat out this weekend also.I'm launching at Stan Sayers and fishing I90-South end Mercer Island.I'll be trolling with herring and wedding rings behind Gang Trolls.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Report back how you do RacFish. We'll post a report, too, so hopefully we can get a good assessment of the fishery right now. Tight lines!racfish wrote:I'm hoping to get my boat out this weekend also.I'm launching at Stan Sayers and fishing I90-South end Mercer Island.I'll be trolling with herring and wedding rings behind Gang Trolls.

Hey cutthroat, it'd be cool to fish with you sometime. I'd really like to learn the big lake or Sammamish for those cutts.

Yeah that'd be fun. Let's get a trip planned in the next couple weeks on Washington. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two if you fish Sammamish at all.iPodrodder wrote:Hey cutthroat, it'd be cool to fish with you sometime. I'd really like to learn the big lake or Sammamish for those cutts.

I know one thing about Sammamish. There are two fish in it. One is an 18" trout my dad caught and released while fishing for salmon, and a 4 inch perch I caught. The trout and SMB are there, I just can't seem to get on them. I'm pretty good trolling smaller lakes like Beaver though.

I'm sure the same tactics to catch the cutts in Sammamish would apply to Washington because they are inner-connected by the Sammamish River (Slough). Many of these fish traverse these waters to enter and re-enter both Lk. Sammamish and Lk. Washington...so I think we'd do good on either lake.
