Hi everyone,

A few friends and I were thinking of making the long trip from Seattle to the Snake River for a weekend of fishing. I was wondering if anyone had experience fishing there and could point me to some favorable places? We're targetting crappie, but anything is fine. We will be shore fishing as none of us have a boat. Also, we want to stay on the Washington side as we don't want to buy Idaho licenses.

Where we fish will determine many aspects of our trip such as trip duration, lodging, etc... so please help!

Thanks!
fishndude

PS. Any other information such as best fishing methods is greatly appreciated! :)

A person that I know who went fishing in the Snake said to use crickets for channel catfish. Worms will attract all kinds of fish including suckers. The Snake river should be loaded with smallmouth bass. As far as safety goes, beware of snakes.

I grew up over there, return is right the snakes should be main priority haha
I always tap stuff in front of where I walk like bushes and whatnot with my pole
but as far as fishing goes, locate them with spinners or micro size spinnerbaits
then when you find them, toss jigs tipped with worm or maggot
I like using 1/32 oz
Hope that helps a little bit
P.S. Most of the time, If you find one crappie there's always another
