2012 Bronzeback

I forget the weight of the first one. I quit trying to resize it. The middle fish is 9 pounds 1 ounce. The last tank was about 8 lb 5 oz. I got some big smallie pics too and one more monster largemouth pic to post when I get time. One more week and it's February.......

For the $$$ I think the Crucial line of rods by Shimano is the best bang for the buck. However, Lamiglas came out with a new line of rods as well. I'd contact Nick Barr as he knows the Lami line very well - nickbarrfishing.com

What is your price range? Soft plastics and small swimbaits - be more specific. There is a wide range of lure weights in your post. Loomis 852 or 853 - 852 is good for plastics but would be stressed with the swimbaits. 853 will handle larger plastics - Senkos, worms, jigs as well as hollow body swim...

I would highly suggest the Basstrix Extreme vibration baits. I believe these came out last Summer and are proportioned differently than the original Basstrix tube swimbaits. 4 lb 14 ouncer on the Dora pole! Emerson was hesitant on holding it because earlier in the year a big bass she was holding peed on her. Holding the fish by the scale is OK....
