Re: Lake Roosevelt Sturgeon

Last year there were an Armada of buoy balls from right under the 395 bridge to the mouth of the kettle river.
Sturgeon Fever hit and everyone who could buy a rod was fishing them. They have cut the quota in half from last year and also mad the slot a tighter size.
Good luck

Re: Anyone caught experienced with Tiger Trout (not Tiger Muskie)

They planted them in Loon Lake over here also. This last Friday my son and a buddy where fishing it and he caught a 9 lber. They where chasing the bass around the docks and it made a swipe at a bait. He gave it back to him and Wham he was fishing. Said it hit like a freight train and after that pret...

Re: Favorite Lake in Washington?

Before the 2 pole endorsement and just one rod. We wrapped the mono around a 2x4 or a beer can or soda can. That's also before the plastic bottle faze. You threw the board or the can in the bottom of the boat and rowed along the shoreline usually with the tip of the inboard oar in some cases almost ...

Re: Favorite Lake in Washington?

If you open the link you can see the potential of Chapman those fish are still there and they have little or no pressure. https://secure.rco.wa.gov/prism/search/ProjectSnapshotAttachmentData.aspx?id=293347 Back in the late 70's and 80's we fished at nite with a Jitterbug just slow rowed along the ba...

Re: Chapman Lake update

Wow. It sure doesn't sound like a 2 1/2 year project to me, but I guess the lake will have a nice population of fish by the time it becomes usable. It shouldn't the road is there and the proposed site is the old resort grounds. Have a nice population is and under statement. This lake has had Kokane...

Re: Chapman Lake update

Hewesbob I think they pretty much know how I feel about. I have talked to Donnelly during the Springer seasons on the snake. I have also had conversations with a person who does have a place on the lake. He was telling me how many fish he had caught that year. While doing the simple math of the rete...

Re: Chapman Lake update

E-10 you have to understand that the WDFW will look out for the best interest of your license mony. Even if you are not able to see a reward. The best way to know when they are not telling you a falsehood is when there is NO SOUND. But rest assured they are working in the back round.

Something to consider is that the new vehicles are not recommended to run chains on. You might call the dealership and check.

Modifing a Fishing Report

Is it possible to edit a fishing report after it has been posted. Once you post the report it would be handy to edit the photos if you find another one that you forgot,

Re: Multiple Poles In Single Pole Lake One Angler

I have asked the question to a game official and was told it's legal. The law is pretty simple. (1) It is unlawful for any person to use more than one line while angling for personal use, except: (a) Anglers in possession of a valid two-pole endorsement may use up to two lines while fishing in lakes...

Re: Ask an ex-WDFW employee anything!

I wonder since the Kokanee eggs come from one lake is my understanding and now the Copods are starting to show up other Kokanee lakes. I am aware of a few lakes that have a self sustaining Kokanee Population. That have been planted with fry over the last couple of years. Would hate to see the copods...

Re: Ask an ex-WDFW employee anything!

Do you have any knowledge about the copods being found in the kokanee gills. Is this something that is being transplanted with the stocking of the kokanee fry from the hatchery? WDFW identified the parasite as a species of copepod, salmincola californiensis. Copepods are a small crustacean found in ...

Looked at a couple of year round lakes above Colville this weekend. There is just enough ice you can't fish them and not enough to walk on. ](*,)

Re: Streams in the very extreme NE part of state?

You have not given a date. But I do believe the Pend Oreille river is a year round fishery. There's a chance to tangle with a northern pike in the bays of the feeder creeks. Just south of Ione is the tiger slough but over the years it has been developed. Had some good crappie fishing in it. The mout...
