Re: Missing Fisherman at Blackmans Lake

Holy buckets. I fish that lake as well in my kayak quite a bit in winter. i wear my life vest in winter only. I grew up on Lake Washington and have been thrown in, pushed in, punched into the winter water many times by my brothers. Dang, it's cold. I felt the seize multiple times. Luckily it was sha...

Re: Coming to Seattle from UK - Fishing advice please

Folks are still catching carp out of Blackmans Lake, in Snohomish, as well. I've not caught one. I don't specifically fish for carp only due to lack of experience.

Re: hiding from the wind, puget sound lakes

Try Chain Lake. It's in a hole. It gets some, but I see several people frequent the lake with pontoons. I use a kayak. Yes, wind can be annoying to a kayaker, but I've been parking myself while fishing leaving the wind to annoy others.

Thank you very much. I live just a couple of miles from the lake. It just seems dead all the time. I never see surface activity, even after they stock.

Consider a small weedless rig as well. It could get you that larger fish holding onto it's territory around some bottom structure and cover.

Re: Yellow Perch

Anyone have tips on how to catch these guys during the winter on the west side? Can't seem to figure it out, going to try dropshotting more with jigs and artificial baits, seems like it should be effective in deeper water. The go to worm on a hook has been striking out in the cold. try a white roos...

Re: When to start bass fishing

If you can, buy a cheap 10foot kayak, a PFD ( where it please ). You can find one for about $300. Nothing, I repeat, nothing will help you catch more bass than that kayak...hands down. If you have money, a better choice is an Old Town Pack Canoe. They are a little, but they are so light weight that ...

Re: Has anybody fished silver lake in Everett ?

Please. Are you taking a watercraft? If so, I would be interested in understanding how best to get your watercraft to the lake. They didn't do a very good job providing facilities for watercraft.

Re: Has anybody fished silver lake in Everett ?

I live close to this lake. I drive by it almost everyday thinking I'm going to hitup this lake soon.
I rarely see anyone on the lake. I have seen and heard of people catching perch. It is stocked with trout...where are all the trout?

I plan to hit this lake come spring.

Re: underwater cameras?

Did you buy one? I have an aqua-vue. But mine is the old style. I love it. I use it in small lakes to locate schools of perch. It's silly when you see the perch coming up to the camera to check it out...chuckle....I love that. I've seen schools of hundreds in Blackmans lake. I was so engulfed in wat...

Re: Storm lake, Snoho County Smallies?

Interesting. I was in partial-attention mode when the fella asked me. I was answering him as I was unhooking and releasing the fish when I had just noticed the fish looked a little different than the pile of largies I caught before that. I didn't think - or wasn't paying enough attention to trigger ...
