Re: Winter Smallmouth Fishing

Here is an article I wrote the other day about the exact topic although it focuses on lake Washington and lake Sammamish which in my opinion give you a way better chance at a winter smallmouth!!

Re: Prespawn Fishin

By time are you talking time of day or are you talking like when do people start fishing largemouth and what not?? Because I have been fishing for largemouth since the beginning of February with good success. As for baits I like to target big fish so I throw a lot of big swimjigs, spinnerbaits, topw...

Re: Bass Replica/ taxidermist/ NEED HELP!!!

Joe, Looking at the pictures and hearing your measurements do sound right for a nice prespawn female. I would say your weight on the scale matches what it says for the fish. Re: Preferred Jig Line

You can get away with flipping braid in stained water say up to 3' viz or in heavy vegetation. But for all my jig fishing or flipping in cover that's not vegetation I use 20# fluorocarbon exclusively. I don't have to worry about a big one breaking me off when it gets into the nasty cover. Flourocarb...

Re: Hook sets with top water Frogs

Im gonna help your problem right here. You want a heavy action rod to bury the hooks on the frog and want to use no less then 50# braid. I prefer 65# though. Bend the hooks slightly up. when the fish blows it up count to 2 or when you feel weight. typically I count to two and then swing by then the ...

Pretty sure your not allowed to use any game fish as live bait. Other aquatic animals such as crawdads or frogs are okay if its from the lake your fishing but live fish is a big no no

Re: Banks Lake Info. please and thanks.

The patience may be low considering it is the championship event for the season with a bass boat and thousands of dollars on the line. I believe there will more then likely be upwards of 100 bass boats probably just a fair warning.
