I fixed that problem by getting a bigger garage and garage door.

Re: July Sockeye on the Big C

Check your fish counts before you leave. Right now there's not that many above Bonneville.

Also with as hot and dry as it's supposed to be over here I'd probably try and intercept them on the way up instead of at Brewster Pool.

Re: Fly Fishing for Pinks

I've used my 5 wt at Hoodsport in the salt. In another post a guy talks about a 7wt for running water where the fish can use the current against you.

At Hoodsport I used a floating line and a pink marabou fly.

Let's hope the water level rose from what it was last fall. It was about 5' low.

Re: Federal/Non-Federal Waters

Check with the DOL as they have a list that registration is needed for. Other than the Columbia River there's nothing in Grant County that requires registration.

County bans on gas motors are a separate issue.

If a lake is unnamed in the yearly fishing regulations it falls under the state retention rules. It states that somewhere in the pamphlet.

Re: Bulls on the Skagit System: Skagit, Sauk, Suiattle, Casc

Just remember that after spawning the fish are feeding to get the energy necessary to make it down to the salt again. I've caught them while steelheading and it's not a long fight. One day 11 were caught in the course of steelheading and all were released. The outside of the current seam was steelhe...

Re: Caddis float tubes

Yes it is true that one "boat" won't do. That's why for trout I've had three wood or aluminum boats, a Bucks pontoon boat, a caddis for a very short time, a couple of belly boats, a vee boat and now a Spring Creek pram. I have also borrowed back the Bucks pontoon boat. I think the best boat for trou...

Who owns (or has owned) a Caddis mini pontoon boat? Another person on the forum has questions and I can't answer them.

Gringo, didn't you own one or two a couple of years ago?

Re: Fly Fishing Only - 2 Flies

Fly fishing only waters - 2 flies, no external weight and must have a fly line and non-revolving reel. Hooks need to be barbless. Special regulations water and "anything goes lakes" - use of 3 flies and splitshot allowed. Doesn't matter if it's a fly rod or spinning reel and bubble. Hooks need to be...
