Re: Cle Elum Lake?

Beware of the north end of the lake when the water level is down later into the summer, the last at least half mile is a stump farm that can claim some victims at lower water levels.

Re: Ice off lakes near Tonasket/Aeneas Valley?

Just talked with some of my friends over from Omak and they said there was still ice on the Columbia in places on their way over, so most likely still some ice in Aeneas valley. NWflycaster, Aeneas lake (up North Pine Creek rd) is on the opposite side of the Okanogan valley from Aeneas valley so op...

Re: Ice off lakes near Tonasket/Aeneas Valley?

I'd be interested in hearing about the fishing when you return. I used to fish Aeneas as my season opener trip every year. Then roughly 10 years ago the fish had picked up some kind of disease and I haven't been back since. I'd sure like to find out if it's a good fishery again. Whenever I've inquir...

Re: Kayak for sale?

As other have said, it depends upon what you're fishing for. I have 3 kayaks, a pontoon boat and a couple of float tubes. I'm a fly fisherman but casting is not my strong-suit. This means my fishing style mostly consists of casting as far as I can then if I need or want to kick away and let more lin...

Re: Fly rod and reel suggestions

If you can get the fly to the fish and present it well they don't care what the rod is, you already have a couple of rods and some old reels I'd just stick with those and keep saving for something you wont outgrow too quickly. Just re-spool with new lines of varying types and have at it.

Re: Kachess / Kacheelus / Cle Elum

For Cle Elum, if you don't have private beach access after the water has dropped below the ramp at Wishpoosh, down by the dam is Speelyi Beach and you can launch there year round when not frozen.

Re: Drive-up lake with a view of Mt. Rainier

I know it's already been mentioned, but I'll second the Mineral Lake vote. It's been over 45 years since a neighbor took me fishing there but its view left an impression that's still in my mind. Definitely worth your time just to go see it even if it's not where you end up choosing.

WTS DAN BAILEY KIDS WADER new in box

Just like the title says, I've got a pair of Dan Bailey kids waders size medium new in the box, not sealed but have never been worn. I'll entertain any reasonable offer.

Bradley smoker new in box

I purchased this smoker at Cabelas on sale for $279.00 and never got around to opening it and giving it a try. I was given a different smoker that I do use so I have no use for this one. As the title says, it's a new still in the box and never been opened Bradley Original Smoker model number BS611 -...

Re: lake for 2 year old

You'd better check the reg's on your boat, but Woodinville is close by and Cottage Lake was stocked heavily in April. It's a small lake but still a fun one to fish.

Re: NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the welcome.
My home range is WCW Kenmore, but I travel to Bellingham, Cascade, Paul Bunyan, Snoqualmie Valley, Spokane and TRRC for matches sometimes. What kind of shooting do you do?

Re: NEW MEMBERS - INTRODUCE YOURSELF!

Hello everyone, new member (Jeff) from Woodinville here. Between being a small business owner, husband (the dreaded honey-do list), a dad of three and a fan of several hobbies. I don't get as much time to go fishing as I would like. Now that the kids are getting older and find friends more fun than ...

Re: what opinions do you have on rod building? worth it or n

I have built about 8 rods and will likely only build in the future rather than buy. You can buy cheap or expensive and you can build cheap or expensive. The performance you get will depend upon the components you put into it and the quality of work you put into it. It would be cheaper to get the par...

Re: Swede's Fly Shop? (Spokane)

I've been to Swede's a few times when in town, but was a regular when they were in Woodinville where I live. The owner does have a wealth of information if it's the same guy as when I was there last 6 - 7 years ago. He just may or may not share it. I've never found him rude or anything, just kind of...

Lake Aeneas update

Hey everyone, new member here. Life, job, kids schedules and other hobbies have kept me from fishing like I used to do. I always used to go for the weekend opener at Lake Aeneas and loved it there. But sadly my last trip must be close to 10 years ago now and I miss it. Anyway, the last time I went, ...
