the bigger sharks that prey on them move down to owens beach area soo tacoma is like a dead zone for them in winter

sooo since the beating and then following link didnt answer your ? but left a guilt trip .... normally people fish an anchovy thats brined green under a float out in the tidal water you can fish the exposed creeks ... or you can do a jig under bobber tipped with shrimp . but your better bet would be...

dash point dock is a good day dock not gonna limit in a hour but will get enough for a meal .. also most docks have a guy selling jigs . but when its hot it puts puyallup river pinks battle fishing to shame .... its less then shoulder to shoulder at redondo

best lights are the red to yellow lighting you get from sodium halogen lights but they also pull allot of power and get hot ... it maters on the dock to what lights to use a generator allowed then regular work lights 1000 watts work .. if its non generator dock they use 60 w porch / flood lights you...

what part of the sound are you from ... mostly any dock is doing well and most docks will have someone selling jigs they make at home for that local area .

you can cast out a line off a dock an maybe catch a flounder but for rock fish /lings its closed . earth worms work in a pinch but anything on a hook can catch a flounder

if its out in the bush butterfly them and cook over the coals kinda bushcraft style off a stick at home just pan fry in a cast iron pan

i believe there are just dock shrimp not spot prawns out in area 13 most shrimping is done out on hood canal or up north .... area 13 is only Open daily for coonstripe and pink shrimp fishing only

just look up any recipe for a Cabezon could work .. cabbies are just from the sculpin family .. they just eat allot better then a stag horned sculpin ... so they get a better wrap

only way to know is to try ... i have always had better luck when its nice and sunny due to being able to see the schools and fish fining or jumping. normally i tend to hit the rivers after a cold front or heavy rain due to thinking the fish move up for a few days. anything pink .. if your close to sportco head there they have a huge sale going on .. use jigs my self mostly stay really close to shore like 20- 60 feet look for fining fish jumping .. green and white are the go to's for kings buy you have to fish some times a lil deeper look for birds bait fish b...

3/8 -1/2 oz jigs all day buzz bombs scare fish .. if you do you a buzz bomb put on a lil pink hoochie and bead before the buzz bomb ( buzzbomb / bead /hoochie/bead /hook ) itll add a lil more action to it

i was at hoodsport sunday caught the low to flood . did great at low tide in the slack , saw fish fining and rolling . once the tide switched and started to come in nothing it was a dead zone . so if im off shore i like low to flood off the dock at like dash i like the high
