Re: fish finder for 12 smokercraft

On my lil boat, I picked up nearly the least expensive humingbird product. I mounted the xducer on a small board then use a wood clamp for temporary mounting on the stern when I fish. The screen is mounted on a separate piece of wood so the whole thing is portable at a lower cost than the self conta...

Re: Streams in the very extreme NE part of state?

Just to the SE of Colville is a couple lakes... HAtch is winter fishery, but the one near it somewhat is/was a selective fishery.... I'd have to find it on a map and cross ref with the regs. Used to hit Hatch regulary, been a couple years. let me know if you need a hand finding it.

Re: Streams in the very extreme NE part of state?

I'm guessing it's been 4 years since I was last there, just stopped by, caught some fish, trout and bass, near the ramp from shore then back on the road. It was a bit windy, and the ramp wasn't usable. I really should make it a destination fishery some day and stay for a couple days when I have a go...

This isn't where you're asking about, but if you're coming back I-90, Coffee Pot is a nice selective fishery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx-LwdrPU4Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Wild Fish Conservancy files suit over hatcheries

WFC is the devil! Their endgame is the closure of all hatcheries in WA. NOAA's NMFS and WDFW need to get their **** together and not make it so easy for these devils to sue them. It's frigin paperwork that isn't being completed by the managing entities that are there to do the frigin paperwork. This...

Re: Lil Humor in this Heat

A funeral procession pulled into a cemetery. Several carloads of family members followed a black truck towing a boat with a coffin in it. A passer-by remarked, "That guy must have been a very avid fisherman.” "Oh, he still is," remarked one of the mourners. As a matter of fact, he's headed off to th...

Re: Been to the Westport Jetty this summer?

It's certainly worth the hike out and giving it a go. I think it was June I went on the jetty for the first time... caught a couple kelp greenling but couldn't convert that to ling cod. Wind was blowing, greenlings got hung up in the rocks super quick.... Enjoy though! That was quite the hike, jumpi...

Re: Questions about Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge

pg 15 #3 if lake isn't listed in special rules, statewide rules apply... + the westside everything not listed is closed provision. I camped in there a number of years ago, the one lake we were near looked pretty darn shallow and featureless, I don't have any more info on it personally. Might be wort...
