Called it in to WDFW not to long ago because I didn't see that you couldn't in the regs. The kind folks down there informed me that you CAN, i repeat, YOU CAN BAIT for deer and elk in the state. Baiting for bear and birds is illegal.

I read about that too. It's really to bad that both the mortgage industry is falling and the price of oil is. Now it's not just the bad loans but the home equity loans not getting paid back... Better and brighter times ahead I suppose!

Went out fishing by the green can on Labor day and didn't catch any salmon. What we did catch were two 3-4 foot long dog fish (mudsharks). My question is, are they any good to eat? I would have to think they would almost be like a cat fish, but never tried them and haven't talked to anyone who has.

Fishing the sound last night I saw a few crab pots get the heck beat out of them. We were drift fishing by the green can and saw at least 2 that were on the move by themselves. Dunno if it's sharks going after bait or the current, but they went for a ride.

Love them ugly sticks. Both of mine are ultra lights. I simply won't buy any other poles now, unless it's an ugly stick.

All you need for carp:
3 Things:
1 yellow cap ultima truck battery
1 set of jumper cables
1 bug zapper

Simply hook the jumper cables up to the battery, hook the other end to bug zapper and cast! BINGO! Carp!
