Well that was quick. Good eye. I am assuming that Haystack and the rock outcrop gave it away. You're up.

Re: OOPS!!! Who's been hooked?

I only hooked myself one other time past the barb than that (knock on wood). It was on the Cle Elum River (back when you could use barbs) I caught an average sized trout and the hook came out when I was unhooking it and buried in a finger. I was only about 8-10 years old at the time and the only met...

OOPS!!! Who's been hooked?

Found this picture in with some of my albums. It happened when unhooking a humpy a few years ago on the Sky. Had to just grit my teeth and push it through the rest of the way so that I could crimp the barb and pull it back out. Btw, knuckle meat is very hard to force a hook through (even with a Gami...

Re: Steelhead Reports and Pics 2012-2013

You're welcome for making you realize that. lol. I have definitily caught the same fish more than once before, but not 4 miles apart. That's pretty cool that the fish moved up 4 miles in a day, you must have put the fear of the fish gods into her. Steelhead can stay in one single hole for weeks up t...

Re: Pontoons & Trout

I made the "redneck" setup you see here (rod holder only) on the edge of the Cle Elum River a couple years ago. Had my drill and some leftover lumber and bolts in the bed of my truck and didn't want to float the river without a secure holder. Ashamed to say it's still on there like that because of l...

Re: What would you do?

I stand by my opinion on the matter. Making abrupt and sudden movements with an already nervous on edge animal, not very smart imo. Just my experiences being a long time hunter. To each their own though. I guess next time I startle big game I'll just try and out run it. Because that makes sense. (Sa...

Re: What would you do?

Personally I wouldn't have ran. Elk aren't really much to be afraid of, although intimidating for the most part.........they ain't no moose. Slowly back away.......maybe, run.......not unless it charges. And if it does decide to charge, you probably wouldn't get get away. Like most animals they are ...

Try over on the PP board also, there has been a few threads brought up about downed DB's over there. It seems a couple guys at least know who owned the downed boats. Good on you for trying to get it back to the owner. =D>

Re: Anyone use these or have success with them

As far as the purple vibrax goes, yes they work well. Size 3, 4 or 5 all work under various conditions. And as far as the spoons go r&b make a really good product in a wide variety of colors. Here is the purple your looking for. http://randblures.com/candy_purple_wiggle_spoons.html" onclick="window....

General how to for rowing rivers

Here is a response I gave to a fellow walaker after being asked how to row rivers through a pm. I thought it was some pretty good material for someone just getting started rowing rivers. As far as your cat is setup I really don't know. If it is the steelheader II, it is a 12' boat. I have The steelh...

Re: New Pontoon Boat now where to go?

For that boat you have, anything below high bridge will be fine. It really depends on what rowing experience you have. Little to no experience then stick to between Sultan and Lewis Street. High bridge to sultan really isn't that technically hard it's just not a great place to be a newb on the stick...

Re: Spring Turkey

I am not willing to give up my area because it took alot of scouting to find a good area without many people. The best advise I can give you is to head east and scout, scout and scout some more. Turkey hunting has become more and morepopular over the past few years and it's increasingly difficult to...
