Bass food options in Westside urban lakes
To clarify what I am asking about, I am referring to the food/prey choices for LMB in your typical small urban Seattle lake. So I am no stranger to fishing LMB, but each year as I pound these small urban lakes, 10-20 acres, I ask myself, “What do these fish have to eat in here?” You will only relate...

Re: Gotta love idiots who post pictures of their crime on social media
Late to the party here, but man... you should look at the Fishbrain App. That is a serious collection of people posting pics and bragging about laws broken. (It’s April 28 today.. I’m about to roll around in my bass soft plastics (Senkos). Man, I am just beside myself, waiting for the 5th, to hit a ...

Re: Use trolling flies for rainbow?
BradF: You mention trolling flies with lead line. What is the advantage of using lead line versus ordinary line plus sinkers? I had heard that lead line is not very suitable for trolling shallow, like close to the surface. Is that correct? Don’t think of leaded line as fishing super deep. It’s just...

Re: Kellogg lake in sultan
I used to live in Sultan and tried to fish from the bank one time, lots of bugs but also you will be very confined as the bank access is limited to the boat put in area which is narrow. Didn't catch anything and never went back as I didn't have a boat suitable for that lake but if I did I am sure I...

OK... my tail is in between my legs as I write this. I would not even come back on here and admit to this, but some of you put a lot of time into sending valuable information. In the end I actually learned a lot about props and hubs. And I think I've come to realize that a spare prop is a good thing...

Re: Broke off piece of lower unit on motor
Randy, thanks for that info about ‘Spinning a prop’ If I understood it right, it sounds like you can damage whatever mechanism actually applies torque spin to the prop.. and then suddenly that mechanism is spinning, but prop not engaging.. no prop spin? Anyway, we’ll see. I have never run a motor in...

Re: Broke off piece of lower unit on motor
Thank you guys- Hlindsay, that looks like a great option on the Amazon skeg replacement. I checked it out. Phil, you have a good point though on the dealer documenting etc. I will go run the boat in a lake, and see if it was a fluke or something on my motor function via the previous return trip yest...

Broke off piece of lower unit on motor
OK, well.. had my new boat for only a few months, and today I really screwed up. My concrete slab/driveway has a 6" drop when you pull off the driveway, there is a drop into earth. Normally when I pull the trailer over this area, I ALWAYS have the motor trimmed up, not in a down position. Today I wa...

Definitely not bank/shore fishing... unless someone knows something I don’t. It is SUPER Jungle like. If you know the Achafalaia basin in Louisiana, this is it.

In my experience it is mostly stunted Largemouth. I’ve never caught anything over 1.5 lb. it is a Great Lake though, in my opinion. Has a ton if fish. You will have a good time.

Re: Looking for bait and bobber sure thing for 7 YO
Bearforceone, I feel your pain. You just want to see your kid hit some fish, any fish, etc. unfortunately, we are in the dog days of summer. This means lakes are at their warmest temps. Trout fishing this time of year is difficult, unless you can get out in a boat and troll deeper depths, jig, etc. ...

BentRod, so glad to hear you are taking the plunge. I clearly cannot tell you anything that you don’t already know about boats. Having just gone through this, I will just say that no matter how much you think a boat you are looking at cannot be beat in terms of meeting your needs in all categories.....

I thought I would see if anyone was active on this old board.. Just one of the ‘Crickets’ here, coming up from under a rock. TM’s are probably the only local species I don’t fish for, sorry can’t add to your favorite baits thread. You got me all excited with an actual post to the board, but yet... ...
