Have my brother from Oregon coming up for some fishing and would like to hit the big lake for some kokanee for a few days, also where to camp, ( I know about the state park, but is there any other areas on the lake with camping and boat launching?) than will head to Rufus Woods for a couple of days....

Hit Omak lake but it was real slow, was mid 70's whem we got there thursday nite and fished from the bank for a while, 1 fish about 16 in on a cop car spoon, went back in the AM, and lunched the boat at St Marys in the rain and cold weather real change. looks like we were there at the same time, we spent 2 nites at the resort, saturday and sunday, left Monday A M for Palmer, looked at the dirt ramp on up at the lake but figured that I could get the boat in but a little worried about getting it out, just dont want to get stuck with that rig. trying ...

#-o Just had to go fishing, been so long, loaded up the boat and motorhome and headed to areas we have never been to before, got to Spectacle lk and found out the ramp was to steep for the motor home so the resort people launched the boat for me. Got out early the next am and fished for about 2 hour...

one thing that I learned in dry camping with a motor home is that the larger cable runing to the battery is the better, we run '0" cable size, also the length of the run has a lot to do with it, if you have a cheep set of jumper cables the wire size may be to small, and a long run will draw the batt...

Thanks for the info, now one more question, I looked thru the fishing regs and could find nothing on Palmer lake, is this on indian land and do I need a special license for it? And on the subject of the fishing regs, anyone else having fun trying to understand them? thanks

maybe going to get out soon and would like to head to eather Palmer or Omak lakes, I have an 32 ft motor home and a 17 ft stryker, so I have to be a little careful about launching and leaving the rig while on the water... any thoughts on the launches at eather place? any info would be of great help....
