Re: Excess humpy gear
I'm planning to try my hand at Kokanee fishing tomorrow (Father's Day) on Cavanaugh.
Meet you there?
I'll be in my Pontoon and my silver Dodge pu will be at the ramp parks area...
Probably get there around 9:30 or 10...

Skagit Sockeye!
I'm looking for a report on the Sockeye opener on the Skagit today....
Nothing in the report section...yet.
I wanted to go but talked myself out of it. Didn't feel like sharing a sandbar with 2509 of my "closest" friends.
Guess I'm just getting too old for combat fishing anymore...

Re: WTB - Pontoon Frame
Thanks...I plan to!
Eventually I'll have to take some Time to find and fix the leaks so I can have a spare set of floats...probably do that over the winter.
It's time to fish now!

Lake Info?
The old site used to have a very good section as to information about lakes. Usually it included information specifics like; Location Parking and Ramp info And mportant to me....which species were present and sometimes even the best bait/lures to use. I cannot find this info on the newly revamped si...

Hook size?
He guys.... I suppose this COULD be a loaded question but since I'm a newbie at Kokanee fishing... I need to go buy some hooks and don't know the best size or style. All I know is they need to be red... I also need to pick up some beads and snap swivels (does it matter if they are shiny or black?). ...

WTB - Pontoon Frame
I used my Pontoon in the Saltwater the last few years and even with rinsing after use the frame is about rusted so....
I'm hoping someone on here has a frame I can buy.
Thanks!

Stainless Steel Davit - Sale or Trade
Like the title says it is made from Stainless Steel. I have no mounts for it and the motor will not start. It does have the great reduction and capstan though. I can remove all of that and dispose of it if you prefer. But the block is included. I would prefer to trade for a good casting reel suited ...

Re: Ordered a new Rod Today
Hunter, I have an extra 6600 in a box, a couple of older Diawa Millionaires too (but they need new gear because the nylon gears are stripped from Salmon fishing). I thought the 6600 would be overkill on what amounts to a trout. I'm going to look for a pint-sized bait caster for the new rod. In the m...

Thanks mike....
Maybe I'll see you on the water!
If you're on Cavanaugh and see a little 12' Blue and White Hi-Laker feel free to come on by and say hi!
I'm the guy that will obviously NOT know what he's doing...

Ordered a new Rod Today
I'm learning (or trying to) how to fish for Kokanee. I own 37 rods and none of them (other than my 5wt. Flyrod) are soft enough for catching Kokanee. So while I was buying my license today I asked about special ordering a Kokanee trolling rod. I ordered an 8' Eagle Claw Kokanee rod -- $25. It should...
