Re: Help with Moses lk plz
On the positive side at least it sounds like you learned a lot about the lake and the different areas. I'm not sure what is going on with the walleye bite this year, it seems to be almost nonexistent in many of the lakes. We fished Banks Lake(Barker flats) again yesterday and 7 hours of trying every...

Re: Help with Moses lk plz
Just about all of Moses Lake could be fished with a pontoon. We fish from Connolly to Rocky Ford creek, most of the water is between 8 ft. and 18 ft. the closer you get to Rocky Ford creek the more shallow the water get and it starts getting really weedy so we don't go into that channel. Moses Lake ...

Re: April Outing Set for Western Wa. Walleye Club
Should be a great event for you guys, I live in Coulee City and we have been fishing walleye a lot since the ice left us. If there is any info that I can help you with before your event I would be happy to help out. I won't be able to be here the weekend of your event as I will be at Lake Chelan at ...

Re: Help with Moses lk plz
Outstanding advise from both Lee and David, the only thing that I might add is that while fishing the cove next to Connolly park if you start picking up perch to stop and anchor and start targeting perch. Perch should be schooled up and feeding actively and where there are big perch there are small ...

Re: Harassing members on report posts
I have always shared everything I do on every outing and never really understood why somebody would withhold information about where they were fishing or what they using and all that, but recently I went on a trip with a fellow that had been catching amazing fish in an area that I was having a hard ...

Re: Lake Roosevelt
Water is getting lower and dirtier day by day. We fished it last Sunday and you couldn't see over about 8 inches into the water. Be sure to check water elevation for the ramp you want to use, a lot of the ramps can't be used right now.

That happens to me on Lake Wenatchee. When I get close to one certain house my Garmin totally wacks out. I have to shut it down and restart it after we are past that one house, crazy. This has happen the past three years.

Re: Potholes / Moses Lake area hotels
There is a RV Park across the road from the Potholes State Park, They have a few park model trailers they rent by the night. We stayed in one of them a couple years ago and it was really nice and affordable. There is another smaller RV Park about 6 or 7 miles east of Mardon that also rent park models.

Re: Catch and ReleaseTrout BAIT fishing
namaycush, the term that WSFG used when I researched this topic was "those bleeding fish are Eagle food". This practice of releasing injured fish has always bothered me especially when I would fish on a charter boat out of Westport. Somebody would bring in a wild salmon at a time when you couldn't k...

Re: Catch and ReleaseTrout BAIT fishing
Hlindsay, ya I forgot to mention scent, thanks. Another problem now on Lake Roosevelt is the release of all wild trout. I emailed WSFG with the question what do you do if your fishing with bait and catch a wild Trout and it is bleeding. Their answer was "release it and it counts against your daily t...

Re: I think WDFW might be getting a little worried.....
We will be buying our freshwater fishing license at the last moment also. I have already canceled our yearly month long trip to Westport and Sekiu because of proposed higher fees and less return, that means no saltwater license, clam license or daily derby tickets for Westport Charter Assoc. I have ...

Re: Wenatchee
My guess is the ice on Fish Lake won't be gone until late March. Scott West owns the Cove Resort and they do rent boats. I believe they rent row boat, 12' to 14' boats with motors and he had a couple pontoon boats for rent. The problem with the late ice ment is WSFG may not be able to stock trout un...

Ronald if you want to fish around the dam or up around Swawilla Basin the you can launch at Spring Canyon, that is just up river a couple miles from Grand Coulee. If you want to fish a little farther up river Keller Launch just opened yesterday. From what I have read in other forums I believe that a...

Re: Car tab renewal sticker shock
I read an article about that a couple days ago and was shocked. The article I read didn't list the three counties and I have been waiting to see if it was going to be state wide. I'm sure glad I live in a small town in Eastern Washington. I told my wife that if that increase included us that it woul...
