Re: Facebook salmon conservation group

I see this facebook page as being nothing other than a place where folks can hurl insults at each other, degrade tribal fishing and act like total jerks all from the anonymity of the key board. Most folks that engage in forums such as the one you are referring to have no idea there is a difference b...

Re: Lost Post ???

Sniper308 welcome, this is a fantastic forum of information and just a great place to exchange ideas with like minded folks and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have since I joined in 1999. One thing that popped out at me was your comment that your post "couldn't have been too offensive". This websi...

Re: Lake Roosevelt Kokes

I live in Coulee City and fish Roosevelt often from the dam to Hansen Harbour, We caught two kokanee last year and none this year. A fish checker I recently talked with said she had not checked a kokanee since March. Rufus Woods Lake is low water and very weedy and hard to fish from Seaton Grove dow...

2018-2019 Regs/ Spokane River

Just a heads up that in the new regs WDFW mistakenly omitted the section of the Spokane River from SR 25 bridge to Little Falls Dam. I emailed them about this and their response was that they will at some point print a correction but until that time as of July 1st. the limits will change to statewid...

Re: Clear Lake Kokanee?

It's not just the westside lakes, here in eastern Washington we are seeing similar results. A couple years ago when WDFG stared cutting back on the limits of Salmon and bottom fish in the ocean and closed down rivers for Steelhead I predicted that more and more folks would start fishing inland lakes...

Re: Striped bass gear in Washinton?

I am pretty well geared up for Stripped Bass at Lake Havasu and I use some of the divers for Walleye in lakes and they have produced well for me. I have found that when water temps rise above 70 degrees Walleye will suspend about mid water column and seem to have similar habit as Stripped Bass in La...

Re: Anyone caught experienced with Tiger Trout (not Tiger Muskie)

We fished Buffalo Lake yesterday 5-5-18, fishing was slow for us, we ended the day with 4 rainbow in the 2-2 1/2 pound class and two 10" kokanee. We missed some bites and lost a few trout , one was at least 5 pounds. The kokanee had a few lice behind the fins. We were fishing the top 15 ft. of water...

Re: Anyone caught experienced with Tiger Trout (not Tiger Muskie)

Hi Kieth, as long as the water level is down you shouldn't have any problem launching with your motorhome. When you head down the road to the launch just bear to the right and that will take you the proper way around the circle, then there is plenty of room to maneuver while backing into the water. ...

Re: Anyone caught experienced with Tiger Trout (not Tiger Muskie)

About 15 years ago WFG planted tiger trout in Downs Lake, they were a great fighter and good table fare but for what ever reason they didn't survive past the first year. I recently heard a rumor that Buffalo Lake was in the process of being rehabilitated, I can't seem to get that confirmed or denied...

Re: Roosevelt 'eyes

Fishinlegend, there is a place on the tribal side of the river. Look it up on Google map, it's called West End Church and accessed of West End Road. I haven't fished it in a couple years but it used to be a great walleye spot. just be aware that if you launch from the tribal side of the river you ne...

Re: Lake Roosevelt Invasive species inspection form

Thanks for the information update, we fish Roosevelt a lot and this is the first I have heard of this. The invasive species is a huge problem in the lakes we have fished in Arizona. At Lake Havasu we were checked several times at the launch when we brought our boat out of the water and at one point ...

Re: Roosevelt 'eyes

I was ready to offer up a bunch of information to help you get into some walleye until I got to the part of your post about not paying to use the launch. Right now the water levels are to low for anybody to launch with a trailer so shore launching is about the only other option. We (folks with boats...

Re: Chapman Lake update

I just emailed region 1 asking when we can expect access. WSFG has the money appropriated for the purchase and access improvements of the old resort. If I hear something I will post it, but everybody should email them so they get the idea that several folks are interested fishing Chapman again. In m...

Bid opening is April 5th, it can take between a week and a month to get all the contract and paper work approved. This contract allows 90 working days. Working days are counted as 5 days a week excluding holidays unless the Special Provisions require working 7 days a week which I doubt in this case ...

Re: looking for an aluminum boat

I have the 2011 Hewescraft Sportsman 180 and love it. The boat that Barchaser1 provided the link to is a great boat and well worth the guys asking price. The NADA blue book price for that boat $19,790 not counting the cost of the kicker motor, wash down system and side lock plates. If this boat were...
