@DakotaElkSlayer- Hey, saw your post on iceshanty a while back, but missed this post. You coulda hit Moses Lake or Scooteney for some walleye. There was a recent report out of Scooteney that also mentioned Moses Lake. Incidentally, I think that report also mentioned the thin ice at Soda - sorry you ...

RE:Interesting things you have come accross while fishing
I mentioned it in my Eloika post, but this season while ice fishing Eloika two planes with ski's(?) practiced landing on the ice over and over. They'd land one after the other, run the length of the lake, then take off, circle around and repeat.

RE:Ice Reports
Anyone planning to get out tomorrow? I heard from a friend that Sliver had a tough bite, but good ice now. It was my first choice, but I might have to reconsider. Bring the sonar. Go deep. Go small. Change lures/baits frequently. I managed to scratch out 16 decent keepers this morning fishing 0830-...

@dougw - Silver is indeed iced. I didn't see the report, but ventured out today as well. 6" of ice near the public launch. Ice is still growing, growning and cracking. The sounds I was used to from last year, the slight shifting of your seat while you're on the ice I was not] You ventured out and d...

We've had a lot of snow. Can't imagine the going would be too easy to get to the parking area. Wonder why there haven't been any Sprague reports lately.

Well, I'm catching largemouth through the ice, so I'm assuming they'll bite in open water too. Probably jig small like we do on the ice. I've been catching 'em with a 1/12oz kastmaster jigged vertically w/ a fake maggot.

Silver's north end is iced from the launch to Ruby's, however it's 1" frozen slush, 1" water and 1" clear ice confirmed through multiple holes drilled along the fishing pier, launch and off the launch dock. Additionally, the parking area's got 8-12" of snow, so unless you've got the right vehicle, y...

How does Jerry's charge for using his parking area? How "early" can you arrive and how late can you park till? How much? Just curious in case I don't want to make the trek all the way from the public launch.

BigD- Thanks for the report! Looks like the perch bite's finally starting to pick up. Those fellows in Coulee City seem to be fishing pretty shallow, or is that pretty deep where they're at? Enjoyed the pic, thanks. I wonder how far you gotta go to pickup walleye through the ice at Banks.

@Mark K - Thanks for the heads-up. I just googled Tiger Slough- actually shows up on the map. Wasn't quite sure what exactly a slough was. At that distance I might try hitting up Waitt's Lake; People seem to have some success there for big perch. Wonder if the Little Spokane ever freezes up. Wonder ...

Aaron- I hit Eloika today as well. Just posted my report. Was a nice time, although the majority of the fish I caught were pickerels. I went looking for Fiska's jigs today - they're a big hit on some of the fishing boards in the midwest I frequent (also saw that you were using 'em). No such luck at ...

Do any of the "fishable" rivers ever freeze over here? Just curious.
Any word on Newman?
Silver?
Any of the local ponds fishable? I've been eyeballing Shelley Lake, but unfortunately it's gated and you'd need a "friend."
