St. Croix Premier PS250 Ice Fishing Reels $15

I thought I'd put it up here first to see if there was any interest, otherwise it'll go on eBay. I purchased a few St. Croix Premier Ice Combos just for the rods (solo rods were on backorder), but I prefer Shimano reels. So, I'm selling off the reels that came in the combo if anyone's interested. Th...

@aaron42ash - I might try to get out too. Just got a couple new ice rods in, but waiting on the stupid sled. Paid extra for shipping and the "later" stuff comes in first. I'm always itchin to be on the ice.

RE:Silver Lake, Spokane County

I believe the tiger muskies are there due to all the spiny rays. Tigers were probably the best bet to propagate a sport fishery given all the food available. They'd also help improve the spiny ray fishery too. In order to reintroduce trout successfully, WDFW would probably have to "nuke" the lake an...

Those look really effective! That's quite creative, and thanks for helping us all save some money on premade tackle. Ingenius. I'm gonna try making some for the ice.

Ha, guess you beat me out there today. I just posted my report. I fished Eloika "Southend" from 1300-1600 without much luck today. Made a golfcourse of it. What kinda jigs you running? I was using a shrimpo head (sans the plastic) from Jigs & Spins with a piece of cooked shrimp and/or eyeball - pret...

RE:Ice Reports

I really want to get some pike or walleye on tip-ups. Thinking about whether it's worth paying the $100 for an Idaho license, so I can fish Upper Twin for pike (bought a whole bunch of tip-ups on sale last year). Even with a two pole endorsement in WA, I can only fish my jigging rod and one tip-up. ...

RE:North Silver Lake, Spokane County

@dicinu- Thanks, I know Silver real well. Silver lake used to be one big lake, but then they divided the north side and the southside by a road. The north side is largely surrounded by private land, and inaccessible (so it seems) and it's a selective gear fishery with different seasons. Silver is a ...

North Silver Lake, Spokane County

How do I access North Silver Lake? Even if it's catch & release selective gear, I'd like to try fishing it, as it's the closest lake with ice that's still open. Park at the launch parking for Silver and walk out to the road and jump the bridge? I know it' all private land now, but the article off WL...

RE:Ice Reports

Silver is still open water. Same condition as last time I saw it; Only ice is that useless marshy area right off the road to the launch parking. Sprague has ~2inches of clear ice off the public launch. In 6-7ft of water marked no fish in multiple holes off the flasher. North Silver is frozen solid a...

@BMGW - Where do you like to access Banks? Coulee City Community Park Marina? How 'bout Electric City? or Grand Coulee? Banks Lake Wildlife Recreation Area? Been looking for access online via Google Maps now that you've piqued my interest. I'd wondered which lakes could yield Walleye through the ice...

Ahh you have a Nils :) I just got one last year at Cabela's on sale for a good price. I really like it too for Washington ice fishing. Only bummer about it is the price of the blade because you have to replace the whole lower part of the unit. So far it hasn't gone dull on me though after a hundred...

RE:Hog Canyon open in 2010?

Interesting, I wasn't aware it was closed last year.

I'm guessing it's open this year, as it doesn't say anything about closure in the regs, and they stocked rainbows 4/2010.
