Re: Roosevelt 'eyes
With the water so low, you can adjust the depth on your Navionics app. I've done this at Dworshak last year with the water down 84 feet and it is a great tool to help keep you a little safer on the water and find some fish. Good luck out there. To do it just go to Menu then Map Options then Water Le...

Re: This new Dragonfly unit Baffles me
B. Although there are maps preinstalled they do not have depth contours? If this is the case then I need to find a chip that will cover Coastal AND Lakes. If I need to buy a chip...Please advise me on what chip I need to buy. I do not have a great deal of experience running a Raymarine but as far a...

Favorite Lake in Washington?
I made a similar post on another forum and got some responses for places I had never thought of fishing. If I was to pick just one, it would be Potholes. It has so much diversity and big largemouth and smallmouth. A close second would probably be Lake CDA even though it's not Washington it is close ...

Re: O ring for wacky rig
I've ditched the o-rings and now use these pieces of surgical tubing. Much more durable and the hook is now perpendicular for better hookups.

Community Edits on Navionics App
If you have the Navionics app you have probably come across a community edit. They are icons that other users have added that show good fishing spots, hazards and dangers. They will also show up on your graph if you have a current Navionics app. I've been asked how to do it and here it is. This does...

Spokane Fishing Frenzy Feb 24th
Spokane Valley Marine will be hosting a FREE event on Saturday, Feb. 24th with speakers that may interest bass and walleye anglers. Included will be Bassmaster Elite Series pro John Murray. http://www.thebassbite.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/27798311_1564530423584854_2753606477881375518_o.jpg I wi...

Re: Vet looking for a teacher Silver lake medical lake WA
The Spokane Bass Club has a tournament there in April. We have a draw format so if you don't have a boat you would be paired with someone with a boat. Great way to learn from someone and the lake is really good. It is one of my favorites because it has grass, deep structure, wood and everything else...

Re: Free Webinars Coming Up
Do you still have the list of e-mails to remind those who signed up to remind us that it's upcoming and to watch? If you have signed up to register Navionics will send monthly emails of what is coming up that month. I also usually send out an email a few days before to those who have contacted me t...

Re: Bass fishing tips....?
Hi, I bass fish alot and I would say I'm pretty great at it. But I might need some extra pointers. I usually use bass lures: powerbait, crankbait, rat'L trap, zoom lizards and/or worms, spinnerbaits etc. What is a personal lure that bass love, where do I cast, and how fast do I reel (and I'm using ...

Re: winter fishing locations in washington
post great lakes to go winter fishing (please no ice fishing) You didn't specify what part of the state, but Lake Roosevelt is definitely one of the best. Tons of trout and walleye during the winter months and no ice fishing required. http://www.thebassbite.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Screen-Sho...

Re: Chart Plotter/Phone Programs for Washington Lakes
I don't have any experience with the Garmin cards but know that Navionics will have more lakes in our region. I would definitely get the Navionics app for your phone. It comes with a free trial for 14 days and it has the best coverage around here in terms of numbers of lakes and those with 1ft conto...

Re: Winter Smallmouth Fishing
For me, the smallmouth have been really deep lately. Like 40-50 feet and blade baits have been the best bet. Look for humps or long sloping points. I've never fished Goodwin, but this long point that comes out looks promising, as does the other side of it (lower right of sceen) as it drops to deeper...

[quote="G-Man"]FYI - Puget Sound Divers stitched together side scans of Lake Washington to create an interactive map of the lake bottom complete with markings of known wrecks and other man made items that have sunk to the bottom. Some of the wrecks show up in pretty good detail. http://pugetsounddiv...

Re: Sonar interpretation?
Been playing with the electronics and am liking them more and more. I have learned to use them when I need them, not stare at them full time. The detail is pretty amazing. Wish I had gone for the 12" screen instead of the 10" though. Maybe even a 15"! 12" is the way to go because you can split scre...

Fog is scary. Without my GPS and Navionics cards I would be lost lately. Still hate driving in it though no matter what the speed.

Re: Lake Washington smallmouth bass
Most of my experience is in Lake Union and more northern parts of Lake Washington for bass. It is an excellent place to fish. Like Shad_Eating_Grin said, Gene Coulon Park in Renton has a boat ramp but also a fishing pier where you can fish. The smallies are everywhere in the lake really. http://www....
