Re: Banks Lake Craws?
I have caught a ton of craws at Banks. Just before you go up the big hill prior to million dollar mile there is a dirt road to the left. We would walk down to the beach and flip rocks, find one or two under most. I would think anywhere there are rocks, there would be crawfish.

Re: Fly Fishing, alpine lakes/wild cutts and rainbows
I have fished the Greenwater chain of lakes near Chinook Pass and found dry flies to be deadly in the morning and evening. we would use size 14 and 16 Adams and Humpies and it did not matter if they were floating or under the surface. After the morning bite, we would throw spoons and spinners. Surfa...

Re: Belize Fishing Experience?
I am probably going to state things that you are already taking. A pair of shoes that you can wade the flats in, sounds like many active species on the flats. A quality pair of polarized sunglasses for spotting fish. Maybe topwater plugs for snook? I would also bring an extra spool of line for each ...

I have one just like it in my garage. Fished it exactly as G-Man stated, with a squid or j-plug behind the Abe-n-Al.

What a walloping! We are the champions! I think because I tied that fly, they dominated Denver! Only thing I feel bad about is that Manning had to lose, truly a class act and tremendous player.

Re: Rufus Woods Kokanee
It used to be an okay kokanee fishery 15-20 years ago, in fact, biggest kokanee I ever saw came out of there. It was around 5lb, awesome fish caught by a friend. It has been a long time since I pulled one out, usually fish it 6-7 times a summer. What we caught them on were homemade spinners tipped w...

Re: Rod building mentor in kitsap area
I have been building rods for about 15 years but am no expert. What I did to learn was trial and error for the first few. Went on the internet and watched some videos which made my life a whole lot easier. I am not trying to deter you from learning from someone, just offering options. It would have ...

Re: For dog lover's only
Deepest condolences Phil, tough loosing a family member. I will squeeze my dog and say a prayer for Amber when I get home. Fishing is an amazing therapy, take a trip to Rosie for some of those nice bows you've been catching.

Mike,
I am going to do everything within my power to attend. If unable to camp, will try to at least make it for the day. It would be dad and myself going and will have a better idea if we can make it closer to the festivities.

Looked it up online and appears to be 8 footers rated for 10-20lb test line, glass rods.

Should not have read this at work. Huge blurt laugh on the guy that said he sneezed out of his backside. Thinking about ordering some for our least favorite people, their revenge might be painful though.

Re: Spinning Rod - Fishing Line - Steelhead
I like the Suffix brand of line for spinning reels. Seems to be a little softer and less memory. Also go a little lighter if you can get away with it, maybe 10lb test. Will not fly off the reel as easily.

Re: Tall Tales Truth Be Told
I use to fish a pond in the Yakima area, do not recall the name. It was a good producer of panfish and bass, never landed anything very large though. Average bass was around 1.5lbs and the bluegills were 6-8 inches. Seems like every other trip, we would hook a decent fish in one area but always brok...

Re: banks lake chinook?
Just read an article on this. Guy says use Apex behind Sep's dodger and watch your finder for bait balls. Type "Chinook at banks lake" into a search and it is the second article. If you go, please post results. I would be very interested in knowing how it is since it is a short drive from Moses Lake...

I hate to jinx it and say the "SB" word, but they looked unbeatable last night. Helps when the ball bounces off one receiver and into the hands of another for a touchdown! Will ride this wave until it beaches, Russell Wilson for President!
