Re: Chinook Takedowns

Another great video Danny! But how come you don't let your dad reel in any fish?

Re: Where are the Coho

Like mizm05 said, temp is a big part of the problem. A bit cooler weather and we will have more biters. Warmer water makes them less active.

float fishing and drift fishing are not trolling.

Being in a boat does not make it legal. Buoyant lure or trolling to be legal. That is the way I read it anyways.

Re: Hook Size poll.

Trailer hook huh. Maybe that's what I need! I get lots of short strikes and strikes where they only get my eggs and by the hook! How do you tie on a trailer? (I know I can google it) What size are you using? I went up in size and greatly reduced the missed hook ups! Was rather surprised and the imm...

Re: Hook Size poll.

1/0 or 2/0 I was using smaller and found that I was missing more bobber downs. When I switched to larger size hooks my hook up ratio went way up.

Re: Stilly Coho

AJFishdude and a couple others have asked to see the jigs I use on the stilly, so I thought I would post a pic. The color is fluorescent blue....not a common color but was my number 1 producing jig last season and is the one I caught silver on this morning. I mostly use 3/8 or 1/2 and on occasion 5/...

Re: Stilly Coho

Fished haller last night for about an hour, saw plenty jumping and rolling but they have zero interest in biting. Thought for sure there would be a few willing to bite at first day light this morning. Got there before daylight and fished till 11:00. Plenty of jumpers and rollers but the silvers just...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014

Hey goodtimes, did you get a weight on that steelhead in your avatar? I have always called it 18 pounds but to get technical it was almost 18.25 the biggest steelhead I have landed. I have seen pics of 20+ pounders that where much smaller, if you know what I mean. I never could understand why peopl...

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014

Check out this recently caught 31 pound native on the Quinault (by a guide). Not going to name the guide, but a search of Quinault fishing guides on FaceBook should pull it up. 1497381_658102280899952_1095266167_n.jpg WOW!!! that thing is huge.......truly looks to be 31 pounds.....I know some on he...

That is funny. Only read the first review but that was enough. I read it aloud to a few in the room and everyone was almost in tears. I think I will stick to real sugar.

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014

Hope you're right goodtimesfishing! The bad part about that is, the later they come the faster they hit the tanks/hatchery. Which means less time for them to hang out and provide us with great fishing. They didnt "flood in"... A few late fish showed and escapement was barely met. Even if that does ...
