Been grinding big baits through the post spawn with minimal success until last thursday. Got a 6.1 on the G2 Shellcracker at dusk and on Saturday I caught a 7.14 and a 4.4 on the 8.5in Hiroshima Customs glide bait. Slump officially busted! [thumbsup]

Another good one on the 8.5 hard tail Hiro Trout. Hard to put this bait down! ](*,)

You have been doing great this summer. Congrats. Keep it up.

I have 2 of those big things, some day I'll use the good one, a BBZ1. I've only used the old Kong one I found at the lake a couple times, nothing yet.

Thanks Tom! Give them a try, but be warned... Big bait fishing is extremely addicting!

I've caught Bass on big spinnerbaits, and big top water, and big crankbaits, and big jigs, but I just can't seem to even use the big swim baits that I have. I shoulda used one today, but flat forgot about it. I guess I'd better check to see if they are both in the boat for tomorrow.

It helped me to work my way up from smaller baits. I still use a 6inch bait sometimes, especially during the colder months. The bbz is not a bad bait though try burning it over flats or weeds!

Well, this one wasn't in the northwest, I caught it in eastern Idaho, but I'm moving to the Olympia area in February, so I thought I'd get active on here. I was alone in my float tube, so hard to judge scale, but I'm 6'2", so my hands are pretty good sized.

Thanks! I hope to get into some out in Washington before too long. This site has been a great research tool, so I'm hoping I can get into them this spring.

Here are some of the bigger fish I have got in about the last 5 years, all were over 8lbs. All of them were caught in N. Idaho

They were also all caught with lures I made. 2 of them on Sink-N-Fools, 1 was on the floating mouse bait I make, and the other was on a prototype large buzzfrog.

Those are some Tanks! Thinking of hitting up Coeur d’Alene for pike sometime this year and was wondering if you have a clue about what time of the year would be best? Are there any numbers of LMB in there?
