Where are the good bass lakes at?

They say that potholes res. is the best bass lake in the state where large and small mouth live and co-op wih one another. It has some of the best structure for both. The longest rock damn in the country, and acre after acre of flooded dunes and willow beds. Youll never run out of places to fish here, time yes, but not structure

my favorite 3 are the potholes, lake washington, and silver lake. you have a great chance of getting a trophy fish out of each of these lakes. banks lake can be great too.

They are all over.

It will deffinatly be worth your while. It is such a big lake it might be a little overwelming but dont let it get to you the fish are everywhere. But if worst comes to worst there are a hundred or so lakes across the street from the res. and most of them have bass as well. Let me know how you do

I have got to get out on Lk Wa more often. Any suggestions on where to fish? I see lots of pics in the photo gallery that look like under the 520 bridge on the Seattle side.

I dont go on Lk Wa much, so I dont know it very well.

for the potholes think rocks for smallies (the dam & goose island) and brush for largies (frenchmans & the dunes). dropshots, hotlips, and grubs will catch smallies and brush hogs, jig & pigs, senkos will catch largies. good time ti sight fish for them right now.

on lake washington look for rocky points. coleman, pleasure, sand, webster, etc. i-90 is always good. grubs, dropshots, tubes, cranks, they all work.

eastern washington try newman lake and liberty lake

If we're talking smallmouths and numbers, don't forget Banks Lake.

Silver Lake is always awesome for BASS

probably silver lake in cowlitz county, that's what i was talking about. it's always been one of the best big bass lakes in the state.

well, most spinnerbaits are made for bass. the strike king premier plus is an absolute KILLER bait.

A lake that may be a bit under-rated as far as Bass fishing is Wapato Lake in Manson, WA (3 Miles north of Lake Chelan).

I was out there last weekend and the Bass were hitting the brown and green jig with a dark pig like crazy. Pulled in 4 1/2 and 6 lb largemouths. The north end of the lake is full of reeds and weeds, drop your jig and pig inside some of the holes in the reeds, let it sit for a few seconds and start twitching. I was getting hits on almost every cast, had two more on, but lost them. I was only fishing for Bass for about an hour in the evening time about 5-6 pm.

The little tackle shop next to the camp ground has pictures of 8-15lb Bass being caught in that lake. Wapato is primarily known for the trout or planted Triploids, which we also limited each day we were there, but check out the Bass fishing there, highly recommended.

It also has a little pond connected to it on the north end of the lake, didn't get a chance to fish it, but heard that a couple of the Large bass whose pictures were hanging in the tackle shop were from the pond.
