Nisqually parking

Post by DutchAngler » Sun Oct 08, 2017 1:45 pm

Driving southbound on I-5, I saw several fishermen fishing the Nisqually on the Olympia side of the river and west of the I-5 bridge. Wondering where to park and get to that spot. Can anyone provide details about this?

get off of I-5 at exit 114. take the Nisqually cut off road and park right across the street from the pumpkin patch. I have not fished there before but drive by it all the time. they are walking in from there and getting under the freeway. It is a bit of a hike and you will have to know the tides if you are going to fish there. you will be shoulder deep in water at high tide if you are not careful
