New to the area setup advice

Post by Luna89 » Tue Aug 24, 2021 12:35 pm

Hey just moved in to Castle Rock right next to Cowlitz river so I'm looking at getting set up with some proper stuff. I haven't even had time to look into what species there are but I know two for sure will be steelhead and salmon. I'm pretty sure my 7lb test for trout I used in NorCal won't suffice up here, my friend says not even my 8',6" medium - heavy salmon trolling rod is too small. Whatever you can help me with would be greatly appreciated, some websites would be cool as well.
