Lake Cle Elum Mackinaw tourney.

Post by The Quadfather » Sun May 05, 2013 4:35 pm

I fished the tourney on Saturday. Ran into fellow walaker, Bo. I did not stay for the weigh in at 5:00. I just posted a report a moment ago. I wanted to ask if anybody was at the weigh in, if u could let us know the details of the fishing. I lost a good size fish, just behind the boat. Buddy caught a small one at 1 lb 8 oz. I know fish were caught. One of my downriggers broke and it became frustrating, and i pulled out.
Please post up if u know mord about the weight-in.

Bodo...your spotted spoon was the ticket. Just came out of the lip. Of course it was a classic story of "The big one that got away" lol. [wink]

Glad I was some help! I have my days off starting Wed morning. May have to make a trip over. I don't always get the weekends but 5 on 5 off is a pretty sweet schedule. I'll shake ya down if I head that way, I know Sickbayer is hot to go too.

Hey guys, what is the condition of the boat launch there... how large of a boat can you launch? Is there a sleeping area (either dock that I could moor to) or campground there at the lake? My brother and I were thinking of going to lake Cle Elum this weekend to chase some of those Maks.

You can launch anything at the launch or Dam. No direct camping or dock at either of them. There is camping at several sites around the lake if you want to pack the boat and haul your stuff. Later into the summer there is a big flat area at the WDFW site by the upstream Cle Elum river where most folks are there to party and jetski etc.

Wish Poosh has a really nice launch area while the water is high and camping super close to the launch but you have to take your boat in and out..
some of my favorite recreating area up there.. winter and summer.. [thumbup]
