Re: Rod and Reel advice
this seems to have been covered over and over, but I will chime in by saying go for the 8' ugly stick medium action with reel you like to use. If you like spinning reals go that way, I personally do, but also use a cheap okuma line counter reel that works well most of the time. It depends on your budget really. if you are not worried about budget, then go to the sports store, and tell them you want to buy kokanee trolling rod and reel combo and im sure they will set you up with something great
Eat, sleep, fish
Re: Rod and Reel advice
There are some very nice rods made specifically for kokanee Lamiglass has a red and white one. I have both and like them. Okuma SST has a nice kokanee rod, Diawa heartland. As for reels I use the TIca kokanee reel. It all depends on your budget. There are many brands of rods that work great you might do a search in the forums and find the old thread there is alot of great advice in it. I think it was labeled Kokanee rods but not sure.
