south king/pierce county lake fishing for kids?
looking for ideas on warm water action for 7 year old. i have a 14' lund with electric trolling motor and i live in kent. willing to drive an hour or so. species doesnt matter. prefer catch & release. goal: fast enough action to keep my son interested. ideas?

For boat fishing, Try Tanwax. I've repeatedly had good luck there. Over on the west bank by the lily pads there is a bunch of perch, blue gill and trout. If you want to just go from the shore, I recommend bradley lake. It's a small lake behind a walmart in puyallup. But again, had great luck there with panfish and trout. Hope this helps.

Sorry this is a bit of a late reply, but you might try American lake south of Tacoma. Lots of rock bass and perch that will bite about anything you throw at them. Very fast action, we kept 6 kids perfectly happy just fishing from a dock & have Veruy GOOD LUCK from my canoe. The south end (little american lake) is a no-wake zone so is perfect for a relaxing time.
Best method for me has been anchoring directly over a submerged log and vertical jigging next to it.
