I have a question about the rules on page 72 Westside Lakes - Special Rules Unlisted Westside lakes with Access Areas. How do you know if and when these 60 lake are open or not? I know of one that has all ways been open thats, Kitsap Lake.
The rules get kind of confusing, but if the regs arnt posted its state wide regs apply. If you go to the lake and there isnt rules posted and it dosnt say anything about it in the reg book your good.

When I go fishing I look for signs that say "no fishing" not for signs that say "fishing permitted".

Gamefisher - That section of the regs just lets folks know which lakes, not listed in the Westside Lakes Special Rules section, have sporting access areas. If the lake you're interested in is not listed in the Special Rules section, then statewide rules apply, see step 3 on page 31,
If your area is listed in a Special Rules section:
Read Special Rules Instructions on the bottom of page 32. If your area is NOT listed in the Special Rules
(pages 38-96), then all the Statewide Rules apply..
I don't generally bother with the statewide rules, I always check the special rules first as most of the lakes we fish here on the east side are listed there. We rarely fish a lake that doesn't have a listing in the special rules section, but if it weren't listed in the special rules, then I would most definitely refresh my memory on the statewide rules. ;-)

We see/talk to WDFW about every other time we are out fishing for sturgeon. Very nice and they get to run some sick boats
