Where can I get a Worm Inflator?

Post by AdsBot [Google] » Mon Jan 28, 2008 1:20 am

Does anyone know where I can get a worm inflator? I don't want to hop from store to store to find one. If someone knows a website online, or retail store that sells worm inflators I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I think I saw one at Walmart tonight in the clearance stuff. I'd call the store nearest you though and ask since it was on clearance at the store I was at.

I picked one up awhile back (little plastic bottle with a needle on the end) - seen em at Joe's, Outdoor Emporium, Sports Authority, etc. I haven't had much luck with mine. In fact - If we can hook up, I will give you mine. Per advice for another forum string - I am going to go hit up my local pharmacist for a hypodermic needle, some have said they work better. PM me if you are interested.

If you don't hook up with Gringo, I have seen them at the Bellevue Joe's. I have also heard of some guys using a turkey flavor injector kit, no idea how well it works though.

I've seen them at Joes and Outdoor Emporium.

Don't know if I'd use the diabetic needles as they're only 1/2 inch long and you need something a bit longer. Maybe a pharmacy could help and provide a different one. I only mention the diabetic ones as someone brought them up in a different thread and they are too short.

Yeah, I'd try the pharmacy. Those needles are smaller than the ones that Joe's sells, and the air doesn't leak out.

FYI, you need a prescription for syringes with needles. Kinda surprised the pharmacist just gave you one. Must have been a fisherman.

FYI, for those that live in rural areas, with veterinarian supply stores around (Big R, etc.), you can get the longer needles used for injecting cattle an such.

They tend to be too big for human use, so they are not restricted as tightly, and they are re-usable.

Lol...I don't think so...you boxed them up real well. Thanks a ton northfork! Your needles differ somewhat from racfish's needles and it's good to have a couple to work with. I'm thinking about using them out at Beaver today or tomorrow, so I'll report back how I do. Once again, thank you racfish and northfork for going out of your way to help someone out -- really appreciated. Bless you guys! Later, cutthroat

Funny how things change over the years. I used to use syringes to inflate worms many years ago. You could buy them off the shelf in any drug store. Now it is difficult to buy anything related to illegal drug use, decongestants, syringes, etc.

P.S. Marc wrote this quote and then must have deleted it or there was some glitch. Not sure, but I didn't make that one up!

That's very true. Government has infringed on practically everything now, to the point, the WDFW might think I'm injecting a foreign substance into myself out there on Beaver while I'm actually pumping a worm full of air. Trying telling that one to the judge :^o
