I like the Pflueger Presidents. I've used several sizes for many years without complaint...

+1 on Pfluegers. I use them exclusively, with the approach that, if I break one, I can still use the spool and the handle on one of my others. I look for them on Ebay and sometimes find deals on two for under $50 in the clamshell pack.
