Northwest Fishing Reports

I've noticed that most of the launches at the "No Gas Motor" lakes are fairly shallow.

I have removed the motor and tank from my boat and would like to use it on one of these lakes if the launch can accomodate me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for King or Snohomish "No Gas Motor" lakes that has a deaper launch?

That was one of my prime considerations. I love Lake Wilderness. Fished it as a kid when dad was in town. Took my boy there for our Saturday morning fishing a few years ago.

Since my lower unit went out, I have found that fishing on lakes with no wake is so much more relaxing.

That is the main reason I'm off the water before the speed limit goes up on the 2 lakes I fish a lot.

Is anyone familiar with the Cottage Lake launch? Google maps seems to show that the launch has something blocking access for launching fron a trailer. Can anyone confirm this?

My boat is way to heavy to hand launch, but is all electric right now.

Trout lake, beaver lake, dollof, star, north lake, finwick, morton. They all have ok launches.

i know its a long run but Munn has a nice launch and some BIG fish

Rich, I have been to Cottage more than a few times. Honestly it is about like any other urban shallow lake, for launch depth I think. That being said though... I don't think that it is too shallow for most uses. HOWEVER.. I am almost certain that there is no trailer parking at Cottage. It is really considered a hand launch.
Can somebody else echo that? Fishinislife fishes there a little.

What is your latest boat anyway?

Shadow lake and shady lake in king county have nice concrete ramps. spring lake and lake desire both have shallow gravel launches but it just depends how far you want to back the trailer in...lol. Good news is that all of these lakes are within ten minutes or less of eachother.

Is there a horsepower restriction on Lake Morton?

Believe so. Would have to check.

I still have the same one. 3 total. A 6 ft fiberglass row boat, 17 ft Bayliner tri-hull and a 24 ft Bayliner Saratoga.

Its the 17 footer that Im looking for places to launch. The motor is off it for the summer and Im looking for places to use it with the elec trolling motors. We took it to Mayfield and stayed in Johnsons Cove. There was almost no wake and it was peacefull. Eventhough it might look a little out of place on the smaller lakes, its much more stable and roomy than the rowboat. Me, the wife and the dogs... aint happening in the 6 footer... lol.

I haven't been there in years but unless it changed it is a hand carry launch area, no trailer back up or parking.

Well, I guees I'll have to take the 6 ft there. No biggie. I still have some options to explore even if I have to drive a little extra.
