where can I purchase walleye fillets?

Post by Firetiger » Tue Nov 23, 2010 7:51 am

Our Christmas potluck is just around the corner. Want to take baja fish tacos with walleye for the fish.Discovered the freezer is empty. Where can I purchase walleye on the westside?

KevinB beat me to it. I knew this question had been asked in the past. You might try sole instead if walleye isn't available, it's mild, flaky and tasty.

Try Mutual fish on Rainier Ave. They sell bass perch and cats. Also some great seafood markets in the International District of Seattle. Try Lams Seafood on Main St and 12th Ave. Dont expect a great conversation with them.Lessen you speak Vietnamese or Cambodian.

Oops, looks like I have the same link Kev posted.

Never caught a Walleye myself. Hopefully this summer will allow for more time on the water.

Ive caught walleye at Mardon right off the dock. Also from shore on Banks lake. I've never caught some of those bigguns. Most that I've caught are Perch sized.Hopefully this year I too will get more time on the water. Its a shame that work messes up my plans.

A few of the guys from ESPN radio's The Outdoorline were there just a few weeks ago catching walleye right off the dock, its very tempting to drift over there for the day
