HOME GARDENING

Curado was mentioning some things he grows at home.I do the same. I have berries tomatoes,cukes,squash,hot peppers and loads of fruit trees.I tried attaching my garden pics but hmmmmmmmmmm... didnt work as well on this computer.I know lots of you guys and gals have home gardens whether it be 1 pot or an acre.I'm pulling my peas out this week and been hauling horse compost a truckload a weekend.Lets hears what others grow..

I am growing some stawberries, sugar snap pees and some bannana squash. If I had more room I would go more. I have lots of herbs growing as well. love fresh herbs for cooking.

I have tomato's, corn, bush beans, sugar snap peas, potato's, onions, basil and blueberries. Maybe I can take pictures tomorrow after I water.

Lets see, we were a little late as this was the first time for the garden here, lots of rototilling and I can only do a small bit at a time. We planted snow peas, beans, radishes, carrots, onions, broc, various hot peppers and some bells, squash, cukes, pumpkin, watermellon and of course the obligitory minimum three stalks of corn. We might actually get some of the slower things to come to fuition because the weather has been so nice! The peppers are looking good!!!! Peas in a couple days, radishes are good. carrots soon.

I have a lady friend who raises and keeps horses. On weekends I spend a 1/2 day with her helping clean stalls and move bales around.In turn I take all her maure compost.Nothing is better for the garden . It dosent burn the plants and it can be put directly into the soil.The worms are unbelievable.Bizillions of them.Im jealos Bodo. I cant grow melons and such. I get sun from 9;00 am -3:30 pm.The pics I showed were only a couple spots in my yard.I learned gardening from my granparents and dad.

We're having a lot better luck this year with our gardens than we did last year. Here are some pics.
Yellow Bell Peppers. The purple ones didn't make it.
Snap Peas in the foreground, and Zucchini, Acorn Squash & Spaghetti Squash against the garage.
Lettuce in the foreground, Swiss Chard then Bush Beans against the fence.
Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Onions, Oregano & Basil against the house.
Not to mention flowers,
& shrubs & trees.
Yep! All in all it's a good year for the garden.

I have several tomato's at different spots in my yard as wll as the containers.

and then the basil---zucchini, carrots, onions and onions in the cement blocks...corn beans and peas with some late spinach. Oh ya the blueberries and fig tree.

Those are some great looking gardens.
This is what mine looks like this year. We just made an offer on the property...Now it's up to the bank.
This is what your back yard can look like after one year without yard care or irrigation.

Hi Bodo,
It did kinda go down hill. I didn't realize when "I upgraded" my boat...My wife still calls it a "boat purchase" that I would owe her one. I guess I should have read the fine print.
Good thing for me the property comes with a huge garage shop combo.

Those are some sweet gardens guys! Makes my wife's and mine look puny. :colors:
We have zukes and beans growing in the small garden area, tomatoes in planters on the deck, and some basil, oregano, and cilantro in a planter box on the deck too....oh, and one lowly strawberry plant in a pot that has produced 3 berries to my 3-year-old daughter's delight This is my first attempt at basil and this hot weather is really making it go like crazy.
Something about eating something you grow (and catch) sure is satisfying!
