Been deep frying for over 10 years I wont eat turkey on Thanksgiving any other way !!

Ya my family has prime rib dinner on Thanksgiving and we deep fried a turkey that morning for snack during the day/something else on the table.

tried deep fried for the first time last year and I am sold!!!! I always wondered why people make such a big deal about it, now I know why.

Man I love that prime rib idea. I also love deep frying, but cant get past the $50 in peanut oil for a $20 bird, very good way to cook the bird though

yeah i know what you mean about the oil. about ten bucks a gallon, I got three and hope its enough, 10 pound bird. got the cooker free at a garage sale. thought I could cook crab in it if anything

Brined for two days with garlic and rosemary, then smoked using cherry and alder chips. I usually do a chicken as well but it never seems to make it to the table.

My fav is the one I dont have to cook. I cook all the time. I like it when I dont have to do it. When Im running to familys houses and I get to reap the benifits of there hard work and time. Yep thats a good day.

Smoked on my Traeger using a combo of Apple and Cherry wood.I dry rub the turkey with a sage rub overnight then smoked in the Traeger for a few hours then cooked till done at about 300 degrees.I love fried turkey as well but them calories are a killer for both your heart and arteries.Not to mention your pants size.
