Wow, 27.5" girth through an 8" hole. My math skills tell me that it was a less than a zero clearance fit.

I ran the fish weight calculator and came up with 37.81lbs. What a hog!

Thanks for posting!! Nebraska Sandhills is where the family cattle ranch is - I've already tasked family to run down the name of the lake (there can only be a couple around there that would support that fish) so I can hit it the next time I am out [thumbsup]
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Very nice! You'll have to let us know how you did. If you need some gear, give me a holler. I have a growing collection of esox gear, it likely needs to be thinned out.

My aunt is all into it and has it narrowed down to a couple smaller lakes in a refuge. They are C&R electric motor only lakes and aren't accessible from the banks during the summer. She thinks she has a boat lined up for us to borrow since we can't take her pontoon cruiser can't go on those lakes and is planning to do more scouting when she goes back home for he summer (snowbird). Pretty cool considering she's 75. Once I figure out when I will be able to head out there again I will start doing my research and hitting you up for info! [thumbsup]
