here it is: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=46.93994 ... oc=A&hl=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Fiorito Ponds
I have caught bass, perch and trout here.. always small. I used to hit it when I was heading east, heading for a different area.. If I left later in the day, was losing light and just wanted to get my line wet... The trout here seem to get gobbled up pretty quick as it is crowded(was) in the early season, Spring. I've also hit it in the summer when the sunnies are more active.. kinda the place for grandkids to get a kick out of catching a bunch of sun fish... Let's face it, I enjoyed it too.... But really haven't hit it much in the last ten years. I thought they had a season on it but looking at the regs, it's year round!

Fiorito ponds? Good for crappie, perch, and bass. Also has small sunfish. And planter trout.

Myron has good ice, but it was melting pretty fast. Crappie and a trout. See report.

Silver up to 35' depths still have 3-4" clear ice, but it's melting fast.

More people driving up to the launch and hanging out for bit than people actually fishing the lake. What are those people doing? I don't get it.

Came prepared in case I met more weirdos, but met two other genial fishermen instead.

We need some cold weather to keep this going.

Could be scouting the ice, or a ripoff. Never can tell.

Crappie run small, but the bass get to 5 or 6 lbs. The sunfish are puny. Perch mostly small.

Planters that disappear pretty fast on average. The pond closer to the hill has more trout left, usually.

From a lil boat, I always did better in the back pond... As FC indicates. Spring planters... gobbled up quickly by lots of anglers. I used to work the shore line either side of the house or cabin that is there.... with meal worm and bobber... again, I'd hit it on the way to or coming back from another fishing location... because of the size of fish... I wouldn't call it a destination body of water... just a filler or warm up of better things to come... I always had fun there though.

It looks like fish lake is being fished. The dots that you see moving around are fishermen/woman.
You could also call the Cove Resort on fish lake and get a report on the ice thickness.

Here's their number:

Thanks! Is the resort still open during the season? I tried calling last year and never got a response

I've never seen the store open in the winter. People have been fishing the ice at Fish for a week, Look at the cam a week back... There was ONE day that water was on top and appeared to be no fishers. 7-8 days of fishing so far... watch the temps of Plain, WA. I still have to get up there myself..

Ouch! Glad I didn't force the trip. Sounds like waiting for another hard freeze would be the wisest choice. But, people have been fishing it... Lots it seemed on the cam that Sat/Sun during the hard freeze.
