Tomorrow is the day. I'm making an east side trip early, spending the night. It sounds like elioka still has ice, as well as fish. But here is what i'm really after....wall dog's and crappie. Any lakes over there with walleye present AND decent ice?? or am I outta luck?? I mean, I can hit "lake on the mountain" thru the ice for trout only six miles away, I really want to get into some warm water fish through the ice. Looks like it will be sunny and warm, perfect day on the ice. If nothing else, i will hit perch, would at least like crappie, and what the heck, trout if i really HAVE to. So let's hear it.....ANY HARDWATER WALLY LAKES OVER THERE WITH ICE STILL??

Thanks, and if anyone wants to meet up, i'll be eastside tomorrow and thurs. morning bite.....

Sunny and warm, on the east side?:^o :^o #-o Not for a couple of days according to the weather service. 29, 35, 43, and 40 is the prediction for the highs for the next few days.

I don't know about the regulations, and I don't fish for Walleye in the winter right now, but Potholes and Moses Lake would be your only chances for ICE Walleye right now. I believe that Mardon is the resort at Potholes and they could tell you about ice.

As for Crappie, Elokia is the best bet through the ice, IF you can get past the perch. The perch SHOULD be on the bottom, with the Crappie hanging above them suspended.

Yeah, I guess your right Anglinarcher.....Not so warm on your side. If the sun is out, temp. doesn't mean a thing. No matter, it's my weekend to get over there. Potholes and Moses you say....I guess I'm not real familiar with those lakes. I'll have to do a little more checking, but they would only have some ice in the bays...right?? Anyway, I'll do some calling,..I appreciate the help. I was hoping to stay away from the crowds, but just for nostalgia sake (crappie lake), I may have to try Elokia. thanks again Aa...
