Now!!!! When you say members ,what exactly do you mean? Members as in dues paying members or just members who sign on?This is a kinda serious question too.

I think they mean members who actually log in with their own ID, not guests who are just browsing.racfish wrote:Now!!!! When you say members ,what exactly do you mean? Members as in dues paying members or just members who sign on?This is a kinda serious question too.

Now we have 362 guests!!!
RE:holy mother of god!
It includes members and guests. Unfortunately its looking like there are at most 9 members, and at times a couple hundred lurking guests who are browsing the forums....

This site is growing and getting more and more views. It is one of the top google search results for fishing in the Northwest. We are getting inquires from all over the world, recently one from Australia.
The recent Xmas Fly Swap currently has 1,245 views. That was started about Nov. 3rd. People are finding this site and thoroughly enjoying it. One of our most active and contributing members of the site is Mark Beresford in Riverside, CA. Mark is hosting the fly and jig swap sections. We are very fortunate to have Mark on board.
Like the movie line states, "If you build it, they will come". Well, they are coming up the front walk now.

RE:holy mother of god!
I personally think the Forum guests/member numbers are not counting correctly, just my opinion. The most accurate data we get are the monthly website logs. Readers for Dec were 13,912 unique visitors and 93,159 visits to the site. Last year we had a total of 1.634,648 visits to the site, which was a good 25% above the previuos year. Our biggest referrer is by far Google.
Come April/May we will be back to our peak months which I'm guessing will be around 35-40,000 unique visitors.

Google is how I got here as well - Used Google maps to find lakes, then Google the name of the lake to find any info on it - most times the 1st link was to WL.com.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I found this site a long time ago through Google, then forgot about it. Found it again by accident (can't remember, but it wasn't Google).

Hate to burst your bubbles, but this site isn't that popular yet. I was on the morning when all the guests showed up, there is something very fishy about that (pardon the pun). But, by clicking on the list I was able to see that they all logged in within 3 seconds of each other.
When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.

A sharp spike in Guests means we are being spidered by a search engine.

RE:holy mother of god!
WL.com trade item thefts? Now that's scary!
Like I said before, I put more trust in our web logs for actual numbers than I do the Forum counter.
Someday maybe this site will be popular... =d>
