Sending PM's

Post by Tinmansgirl » Tue Apr 22, 2014 1:54 pm

Hi, I'm trying to find more information about the private message system. I sent a member a message and it is in my "outbox" not in the sent messages folder. Was my message sent? (It does show a sent time). And if it was sent why is it not in the "sent" folder? Is the PM feature disabled for new members? Thank you.

It stays in the 'out box' until the person opens and reads it.

Tinmansgirl,
Also be aware to look at the person you are trying yo contact...look at their cover page to see when the last time they accessed the WALAKES.COM. site was.
You may PM a person, or say something on their thread, but then they haven't even been back to he website for 3 weeks.
Even though their email is supposed to tip them to your PM, you never quite know how dialed in people are to their communications.

That is true. I sent a PM to one person last Sept. This past winter I had to PM him again to read the PM so it would disappear from the out box. And the guy was online often.

I get confused if I've sent a message or not, it might be a great pm system we have but I find it annoying.

^^^^^This is how it works. You can send a private message to any registered member but can't make them read it. It will stay in your "outbox" until they do.

Ve have ways of making them read... or not. I checked, and there's nothing in the outhouse at the moment.
