Man drowns in Lake Washington

Seattle police are investigating a drowning after a man was found floating in Lake Washington late Thursday.
Police spokeswoman Renee Witt said a witness called 911 just after 11 p.m. from the 1600 block of 43rd Avenue East in Madison Park to report seeing a body floating in the water.
Seattle firefighters and the Harbor Patrol unit both arrived and pulled an adult male from the water. Firefighters tried to resuscitate the man, but without success and he was declared dead at the scene.
It was unclear how the man ended up in the water.
