Question about Halloween costumes.

So my wife and I were thinking about dressing up as Stede and Ed for hallowing. The only problem is we weren’t sure we are a straight passing couple and Stede and Ed are obviously queer. Does it seem offensive or inappropriate to anyone? We don’t want to be straight-washing any Halloween parties.
