Well once again it was pretty muchly just a nice day on the water for the Tin Guppy and crew. Sawyer and I launched at Seven Bays around 8:30 and headed over towards Hawk Creek. Found it to be iced in for the most part. Couldn't get anywhere near the narrows. Managed one RB there and saw what I believe to be a Golden Eagle feeding on a deer carcass . Pretty big bird. We picked up a BIG wild trout down between A Rock and Sterling Point. Didn't seem like I boated as many of them back before when we couldn't keep them. Missed a hit down below Hanson Harbor and picked up 2 more below Keller. I think we went 2 on a pink hoochie and 2 again on my beat up Kekeda fly. That fly seems to work better on my Steelhead rod than on my Kokanee rod. Go figure. Based on how well I have done lately I won't get any fish if lose that one. The launch at Lincoln is open incase some of you were like me and thought is was froze up.

16 ft Hewscraft Sea Runner. We didn't hang out at Keller long because we got there late in the afternoon and had a long run back to 7 Bays. Did you launch at Spring Canyon? There was a report that there was ice above there.

Happy to hear that beat up fly is still working out. Wish it could have got you some more. You put some time in covering all that water. Hopefully you had calm conditions to enjoy the ride. Thanks for letting us know how you did and as always for using the flies. Hey, you're out there fishing which is more than I can say for me. Take care, Dave

Just a friendly reminder! "Anglers must now release any trout with an intact adipose fin in Lake Roosevelt from Grand Coulee Dam to the Little Dalles power line crossing. Only hatchery-produced trout, marked with a clipped adipose fin, can be retained. The daily catch limit is still five trout, not including kokanee. But there is no longer a limit on how many of those fish can exceed 20 inches, as is currently indicated in the WDFW fishing rules pamphlet. "
