Went out to JBLM for chum had a good day with my boy. He tied up a a Bobber with a jig pink/black. He fished for an hour with no take downs and all of a sudden I hear fish. His heart was pumpin,I look down and see its a chrome hen. She took a few runs but didn't get in the main current and we got her in. Was good to see my boy do it on his own. Also there were tons of guys on the other side biting a hole who were doing good drifting corkies. Merry Christmas and god bless.

Fun to catch though! If you want some sore arms, go chase some dogs. Bobber fishing Chums is always fun.

It's not a zombie, there's no fungus and the eye is still clear. They are still fun to catch at this stage.

I have pulled a few "chrome" chums out of the river only to have them turn tiger striped when they died. That's no zombie. No rot on the fins and the mouth still looks like it hasn't hooked too much. Nice job Dad for taking the boy out fishing!

Definitely not a zombie however I would not have filleted her up. That meat had to be pale as all get out. But however comma space job well done by your son. Question, where is the picture of the Chrome?
