Went trolling using some ford fenders and a worm around the cliffs, the bite was pretty much non stop and we limited in no time. We got a mixed bag of rainbows and browns, the biggest fish was a brown about 1.5 lbs. it was my first time at this lake and I'll definitely be back.

Fished the northwest side of the lake this morning from 8am till 10am and boated a dozen nice rainbows between the the three of us. A couple 'bows bit on orange powerbait but most on good old faithful Nightcrawlers, suspended 8' down off a bobber and/or fished on the bottom through an egg sinker. It was a non-stop great time and the weather couldn't have been any better. Lucky for us, we decided to head home just as the recreational boaters and "speed demons" cranked up their obnoxious "toy boats".

Launched at approx, 1030hrs, and began trolling along the shelf that runs north and west along the East side of the lake, in approx 40ft of water. I continuously marked fish within 10-20ft. Caught several Rainbow keepers, and one exceptional brown. Used a hand-tied crawler harness with green and white pattern, and a green smile blade.

Good day overall. However, if you like the peace and solitude of trolling, this lake gets pretty active about noon with skiers, wake-boarders, and young men trying to impress young ladies. All on a Wednesday! Don't these peple have jobs?

I will return!

Went to Clear Lake Sat am to chase some rainbows. We started a bit later than normal due to weather, hitting the water about 8 am. There were about 8 rigs in the parking lot, surface temp was about 62°F, slight breeze. Trolled down the middle at 1.2-1.4 MPH, with a combo of long lines with 1/2 to 5/8 oz and a rigger at about 14 FT (marked a lot of fish at 20-25 feet, but didn't find any biters at that depth). We didn't bring worms, but found pink Berkeley Gulp maggots worked well. Bites came on a wedding ring, a spin-n-glow and a white fly with a smile blade, most with small silver flashers. By 10:30 we had 8 in the boat, missing several others. By 11:30 we had 10. Tried for bass for about another hour with no bites. Decided to head home as the 3rd black cloud of the morning was headed our way. Although hard to measure up to a Roosevelt bow or koke, the fish are in good shape with firm pink meat - some for the pan and some for the smoker.

Haven't fished this lake in ages, but we knew there were big bass in there. We got to the lake around 7am and starting fishing the west of the lake. Bass fishing was slow so we pulled out the ultra lights/spinners and fished trout for a bit. We got our limit in no time! Put the ultra lights away and headed back to work the shores for some bass and we sure hooked a few nice BIG MAMAS. It was a great day on the water before work. Should only get better once the weather warms up. All bass were released for others to enjoy! Tight lines!

Got the chance to go out for a couple hours with the kids. After catching a few hatchery hot-dogs. We moved spots and the kid hooked into a 17 in bow and we had a double at one point but one shook off. Managed to catch a largie in the hunt for trout. Along with a good handful or crappie and sunfish. About 6 inches or so. Nothing overly huge. Good day overall. Also, I the attached picture. Is that a tiger trout?

went back out to try and catch a couple evening fish with the kid. on the water at about 415pm tossing jerkbaits again because its fair game for largies and trout. had one stocked brown smoke my lure as soon as it hit the water on a bomb cast. 14 inches ish... baitfish (little trout, yearling fish) jumping all over the place. moved spots then had a little 10 inch largie in the boat and trout busting all over the place eating all the insects that the rain took out. had an xrap, shadow rap and a stx tied on.. casting by the busting baitfish, the xrap had the biggest trout I would have got from there smoke it ( tail was 4 inches out of the water and not half way out yet). but it didn't hook up which was a bummer.. oh well. Thinking about either going to badger or back to clear for Saturday for the closer....

Well went out to clear with a friend today to try and do some bass fishing. . Needless to say we went trout fishing, again. Throwing jerkbaits 95% of the day, he landed 3 browns and one little rainbow, I landed one brown and one yearling largie again. Finally got to preform a hook removal from the hand using the string and pull method (thanks YouTube for the help). Water temps were 50 in the super shallows (1-5') and about 54 main lake. Cloudy but sunny day, wind picked up. Looking to get out one more time before Sunday.

Well, decided to give this ol girl a run for her money again. On the water by 730 first cast by 735. Throwing a jerkbait so i can go for the big trout or largies that reside here.. water is down about 4 to 5 ft. Maybe even more. Start off casting towards docks with a weed line.. no hits. Work down the grass line and switch up jerkbaits from an stx to the good ol shadow rap with the spinning rod. Wind was blowing about 5-10 mph.. 5 casts in hook into a 3 pound largie.. couple casts later see some commotion off to the left. Chuck it over there then Mr big brownie annihilates it. 17 inches and built. Wind picks up, catch 3 more browns on the shadow rap. Then it cracks on me, switch colors. Bite dies off.. start throwing a bigger squarrbill, first cast and a big brown smokes it.. but doesn't hook up. Oh well. Fantastic day out there. I really love that lake
